In the category of mini-games radio controlled helicopters, Helidroid 3D is a reference. After two excellent components (and become free), 3D Helidroid returns version 3, with a new graphics and physics engine. And always free!
Those who have already played one of the first 3D Helidroid, or its variation Helidroid Battle, will not be disoriented by the steering and handling of helicopters. Nice big joysticks and levers to move accurately, especially on tablets, where orders are proving even be a little too huge, which can reduce the visual field.
The missions take place in a completely new environment which ultimately takes a whole house, all the rooms, kitchen, a bathroom, a garden and a swimming pool in one load. We can walk freely, even if the goal here is to complete missions!
Three helicopters, three specialties.
Again, those who know the previous Helidroid will not be disoriented by the “machine gun” mode and “missile” from the gunship. But we appreciate the new features with the helicopter “Canadair” can be recharged with water flying over the pool, before dropping to turn off the grill, for example.
Also new is also enhanced by the new physics engine, the helicopter with a magnetic ball, to “nab” metal objects such as soda cans, before releasing them into the trash. Nice!
Visually, Helidroid 3 provides more detail than the previous installments, but still ignore the visual effects razzle-l’oeil, and other motion blur. The graphics are simple, but they have the merit of making the action very readable, and especially ultra fluid.
This third installment of Helidroid 3D is just as successful as the first, and the new 3D engine provides better maneuverability and nice physique. We let soon take to the game, try the three stars and chaining missions. Unfortunately, this pleasure is far too short-lived, with a number of missions really too small, it is scurrying around and we would have liked more surprises.
